The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss.
The Cat in the Hat is a book about how two kids are stuck in the house and the Cat in the Hat saves the day.
The Genre of this short story is poetry and verse because it is short and it is rhyme.
Motivational Activities
  1. I would have the children write 2 or 3 sentences telling me what kind of games they would play if they were in this story of the Cat in the Hat.
  2. Discussion Questions:
      • How did the Cat in the Hat help the children?
      • Do you have brothers and sisters? What kind of games do you play when it’s raining?
      • Who does the fish in the story remind you most of in real life?

  • Personal Comment:
    1. I really enjoyed reading this book because it is the best book for children. Very classic.
2. The book is timeless.

    1. Dr. Seuss is an artist; he is an illustrator and an author.
